The First of 3 Club All forward Autotests is on the 31st March 2013.

Some good News from Cannock & DCCand Mainline Haulage.
and to all the young drivers from 14 years old,
As you may know over the last few years we have run several Autotests and Autosolo events, well this year we are running 3 PCA`S with the Support of Mainline Haulage the first event is on the 31ST March 2013 PCA ( regs out now ) 27th October  2013 PCA /Autosolo 29th December 2013 PCA / Autosolo All events are at Curborough off the A38 North of Lichfield And the first is also a `Taster Event` organised, as per General Regulation D4.5, What is this you may say it`s for none club members to have a go at a proper motorsport event without having to be a member of Cannock & DCC. The down side to this is that we are running 3 events and only this one PCA will be a `Taster PCA` the First one. But as we are running 3 events in 2013 you may wish to become full members to compete on our next 2 events and tack  part in other club events in the year,
So if you do well on your first PCA on the 31st March your points will not count going into the next event unless you join Cannock & DCC on the day this can be anytime in the day.
All our Club members are welcome as are all the local MSA car clubs the other events in the year will be open to all fully elected members of the organising club Cannock &DCC.                 & Owen M C / Streetly C, C / Wolverhampton S S C C / BTRDA/Westfield Sports Car Club For more info please click on the photo for the Regs and if you need any info please call William Barnes his contact details are also on the entry form,

Some video of `Will Barnes` fro C&DCC on this event

The day for the ASDA charity event called "On Your Marks" is Saturday 13th August. Cannock & DCC are once again taking part in this extraordinary charity transport event, with the chance to give members of the public a fast and thrilling ride around a rally stage. All proceeds go the children’s charities. So as last year we are looking for club rally cars to help out &  you get some free test time as you take members of the public for a ride of their life`s.
Other car clubs which attend this event include the Viper owners club, Corvette owners club, Nissan Skyline club, GT40 owners club, TVR owners club and the Subaru owners club. Amongst other attractions there are fairground rides and the opportunity to drive an ASDA lorry around the circuit.   The fact is, on your marks has got bigger year on year ,and is Bruntingthorpe's event of the year with 10,000 people or more and most of them are families having the day of their lives'. Some of them fulfilling life long dreams and wishes.

Middlewick Stages in 8th May  at RAF Woodbridge Suffolk ( click here for info )Just been contacted by Darren Pike who helps Rally of the Midlands. He has mentioned Middlewick Stages in May, regs are now available on line and marshals are sought. the event is planned to have 8 stages of around 6 - 8 miles each and, although based on an old airfield, the buddleia bushes and road layouts enable us to create some interesting stages without using much of the runway. For a sneak view of the possible stages click here    This info from Richard Hinton

110 past and present Cannock & District Car Club members joined together on Saturday evening to celebrate the clubs 40th anniversary. Guest of honour was Mrs Pat Elwell a founder member with her late husband John, who was our first chairman in 1971.   Stuart Turner former BMC Competition Manager (1961-1971) the era of the Monte Carlo rally winning Mini’s who then became European Director of Motorsport for the Ford Motor company spoke to the assembled gathering.   Members new and old reminisced, sharing tales of times past and plans for future conquests. The club is active in many motor sport disciplines from grass roots auto tests and production car trials to sprinting, circuit racing and rallying. Members compete on local club events up to international rallies including the world renowned RAC rally now known as Wales RallyGB. Crews are out throughout the year marshalling and running events. The club meets every Wednesday night at the Five Ways Public House in Heath Hayes. Members are as it’s name suggests drawn from Cannock and surrounds.  Many of the clubs members cars are now in advanced state of preparation with events about to start in earnest for the year with the AGBO rally at Weston Park next month and beginning of the sprint and circuit racing season imminent too.   More details about the club can be found here at  www.cdcc.org.uk.   -oO0 ENDS 0Oo-     For more information please contact Richard Hinton, C/O First Class Technologies, 64 Britannia Way, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS14 9UY Email Richard@fct.uk.net
